Startup accelerators provide funding and mentorship to companies in exchange for equity. Over the past 10 years, they have grown in popularity and have expanded to almost every niche. They often provide seed capital to help validate an idea to a point where it can raise substantial funding.

Remote Accelerators:

  • TinySeed – All remote, year long program for SAAS companies.
  • TechStars Anywhere – 3 Month program. Funding up to $100k.
  • Wells Fargo Startup Accelerator – Funding of up to $1 million.
  • New Chip – Up to $250,000 available in funding. 3-6 month program.
  • YCombinator – A leading startup accelerator that helped launch Airbnb, DoorDash, DropBox, Coinbase, etc. They invest $125k in exchange for 7% of your company.
  • NSF.Gov – Government Seed Funding for early stage product development.

Regional Accelerators:

  • Angel Pad – San Francisco, California
  • Tech Stars – Mountain View, California & a Number of Satellite Offices
  • 500 Startups – Seed stage incubator with companies like Udemy and Canva in its portfolio.
  • StartUp Health – New York based. Invests in digital health focused startups.Women Focused Accelerators:
  • Founders Fund – For companies majority owned by women. Up to $50k in funding available.
  • Women’s Startup Lab – Women’s Startup Lab has put together a fantastic team, board of advisors, and sponsors who invest in women founded businesses. As of the creation of this, they have made 160 investments and have had 4 exits come out of their accelerator. 65% of their startup companies have gone on to raise funding rounds.

International Accelerators:

  • Propel ICT – For Canadian Startups
  • Accelerating Asia – Invests $70,000 in selected companies. 3 month program based out of Singapore (currently remote).
  • Lilly Ventures – Funds companies in the life sciences space.
