Happy Thanksgiving! 

A day to give thanks.  We should never forget what Thanksgiving is for – a day to give thanks.  And certainly the most important things are being thankful for our health, our families and our friends. And of course here in the United States we are blessed each day with freedom  – a freedom that many throughout the world strive for.  And we hope that someday everyone throughout the world can share the freedom we cherish here in the United States.

If we look beyond the important thanks we give for health and family and friends and freedom, what do we as entrepreneurs have to be thankful for? Is it the opportunity to start a business? To have a more flexible schedule? To make more money? Well to some extent we should be thankful for that. But I would suggest that being an entrepreneur, we have something far more fundamental to be thankful for.  It is that entrepreneurship is a vehicle for our soul. Entrepreneurship is not about a job – it is about living a more fulfilling life.  To have the opportunity for our spirit to fly.  To give a pathway to our hopes and dreams. For all of us that have been there, to have the cherished opportunity to give our spirit life – well that is something to truly be thankful for.

There will be times it will be hard. But there is nothing harder than not having a place for your spirit to come to life. For that we all should be thankful that we are entrepreneurs. We’re thankful for what we have and who we are!
