ENTREPRENEUR IS NOT A JOB…
IT IS AN IDENTITY

Entrepreneurs are our lifeblood…and they need our help.

Entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of our communities and you have the opportunity to help them turn their dreams into reality. Whether they are feeding their passion, feeding their families, or feeding their souls, there is nothing more rewarding than helping someone turn their passion into success.

Give Jennifer – a single mother of two with a knack for baking – the tools to build her catering business to support her two daughters the way she really wants to

Help Jordan – a 16 year old with a special flair for graphic design – the chance to turn his creative spirit into the business he has been dreaming of creating for years

Give Joey – who’s been in the foster system since 14 and can’t afford college – the chance to turn his green thumb into the landscaping business he wants his name on

Help Ally – who has always wanted to make her entrepreneurial father proud – launch the marketing firm that would make her the first female entrepreneur in her family

You can make a difference in so many lives

You can give future entrepreneurs โ€“ women, minorities, single moms, youth โ€“ย with imagination and drive the tools and training they need to start and grow a successful business.

Did you know

  • For the last twenty years, small businesses have created two out of every three (64%) of net new jobs
  • 56 percent of entrepreneurs in the United States don’t have a college degree
  • New business owners are now 40% Asian, African American and Latino, compared to 23% two decades ago. But African American entrepreneurs are more likely to be โ€œnecessity-basedโ€, who start businesses out of need, because of lower educational levels.
  • Between 1997 and 2014, the number of women-owned businesses in the U.S.ย roseย by 68 percent. But less than 2 percent reach the $1 million dollar revenue threshold and that is the same exact percentage as a decade ago.
  • Minority-owned businesses are approximately three times as likely to be denied loans as comparable non-minority businesses
  • 10% increase in the number of firms owned by people of color could result in 1 million net new jobs for people of color
