You feel like you should be running the business but the reality is, it’s actually running you. Freedom is a core value for most entrepreneurs. But the freedom we desired quickly slips through our fingers as we bootstrap our businesses into evenings, late nights and weekends.

Your business is constantly growing and there is always more work to be done. There will be plenty of times that you will have the debate, with yourself and others, on whether you are qualified or even want to be the CEO of your company.  But in the entrepreneurial stages of your company, you must be the CEO.  This means it’s your responsiTLE Quote-CEObility to:

  • Set priorities,
  • align your people with those priorities,
  • make sure the company is properly funded,
  • inspire people to stick to the vision, and
  • communicate your vision with clarity.

Being the CEO of an established company is hard.  Being the CEO of a developing one is even harder. It is the ultimate baptism by fire. It is also the ultimate rush and reward. The small wins and the home-runs are exhilarating. In between those amazing mountain tops, there are a lot of punches in the face and skinned knees. It is essential to find your league of entrepreneurial super heroes to run with.
